Richie Booth added a fourth for Congleton with 25 minutes remaining to give the home side a 4-1 victory.

Eagle Sports picked up three points on their travels as they won 3-1 away at Styal. The visitors started brightly and took the lead midway through the first half when Owen Ellis got onto the end of a Jack Rudge ball and kept his cool to finish well past the home keeper.

Their advantage was doubled soon after when Jay Waldron did well to keep the ball in play and delivered a great cross to the back post where it was met by Ged McAllister’s head to make it 2-0.

Lee Boardman's mazy run and pass resulted in Waldron adding a third for the Eagle in the second half but Styal kept going until the end as they grabbed a late consolation through Tom Pryce.

Altrincham Reserves and Maine Road Reserves shared the spoils as the teams played out a 1-1 draw.

Altrincham kicked off with the downhill advantage but it was Maine Road who had the first chance of the game when Joel Senior found Sam Barnett with a good through ball in behind the Altrincham back four, he sent Mike Carcamo forwards but the keeper came out early and got there first.

With 15 minutes played, Altrincham had their first chance of the game as a superb strike from 30 yards by the No.9 rattled the crossbar. Down at the other end, Barnett did well to get around the right back and put a low cross into the box finding Adam Savill in space, his first touch was good but his shot went agonisingly wide.

23mins an Altrincham free kick is well delivered to the far post as the No.7 volleys over the bar. Altrincham were now applying pressure and Maine Road keeper Caine Merrick pulled off an excellent diving save from a cross delivered by the No.7, the Maine Road defence was nowhere to be seen to clear up the rebound and the No.9 should have done better but shot over the bar.

Five minutes into the second half and Maine Road defender Jack Shiels was caught on the ball, the Altrincham No.10 came away with the ball and curled a good effort to the far post which would have beaten the majority of keepers but Merrick made an outstanding save to deny the forward and turn the ball away.

The break-through came in the 64th minute as Senior carried the ball from the back and released it to Rio Wilson-Heyes, a quick pass to Barnett was sent to Sam Owen down the line, he took the ball towards the box and put in a good low cross in but the Altrincham defender got a foot to the ball and cleared it out for a corner to deny Savill a tap in. Patrick Walsh delivered a good cross from the corner and a well-timed header from Savill found the back of the net for 1-0.

The closing stages of the game saw Altrincham take the upper hand as they pushed hard for the equaliser and late into injury time it came. A corner required another excellent save from Merrick but the ball ricocheted around in the box for before Connor Sutton got his shot away to earn Altrincham the point.
