Premier Division.

Due to postponements, there were only two games played in the Premier Division all weekend.

Whaley Bridge defeated Crewe 1-2 away from home to move to six points clear of the chasing pack, led by Wythenshawe Town. Bridge’s goals came via Joe Burgess and Tom Scorer, with the latter getting the winning goal for the visitors.

The other game of the weekend in the Premier Division saw Malpas draw 1-1 at home to Rylands, the result only moving Rylands up one place in the league table.

League One

FC St Helens move up to second thanks to their 2-3 victory away at Mersey Valley. The away side scored first, but it was Mersey Valley who looked like they would take the lead into half time before St Helens pulled one back to make it 2-2. The decisive goal came in the second half as St Helens picked up a penalty and made it 2-3.

Daten also won 2-3, with their victory away at Middlewich. Their goals coming through Ross Dryden, Michael Leigh and Adam Campbell. Halebank beat Pilkington 0-2 in St Helens. A result which prevents Pilkington from taking advantage of the clubs above them being out of action this weekend.

League Two

Windle Labour remain top despite their 1-2 loss at home to Moore United. The away side took the lead just before the hour mark through Edwards, before Windle Labour equalised in the 78th minute. However, Moore were able to take all three points thanks to a late goal.

AFC Denton remain firmly at the foot of the table, following their loss to Maine Rd Reserves. Maine Road’s goals came via Barnett, Burgess, Clooney and Hulme.

Sandbach United Reserves won this weekend as they won at home to Unicorn Athletic. United won 3-1 thanks to a brace from Anthony Broadhurst and a goal from Danny Coppenhall.

Reserves League One

There was only one game in the Reserves’ top flight this weekend as Rylands took on Cheadle Heath Nomads. The home side came away with a 3-2 victory thanks to goals from Jordan Rigby and Daniel Sisson (2). This result moves Rylands up two places in the league table, whilst Cheadle fail to take the lead of the league.

Reserves League Two

There was also only one game in Reserve League Two as St Helens Reserves took on local rivals Pilkington. The home side picked up a 2-1 through goals from Williams and Josh Pilkington.
