Oldham Athletic Friendly

Wythenshawe Town will be taking on an Oldham Athletic XI at Ericstan Park to kick-off the pre-season schedule. It forms part of a competitive pre-season schedule all building up to tough first season in Cheshire League 1.

Oldham Athletic are expecting a large following to travel down to Ericstan Park, with much of their singing section expected to be part of that following.

The club over the next few weeks will be giving away free tickets to local community projects who support the local community, to give back to the projects that support the Town and drum up interest for another interesting season ahead.

Admission for the game is £2 for adults, £1 for concessions and free for children U16. The new look matchday programme ‘The Town Review’ will also be on sale for just £1 for 28 pages, packed with information of the new season along with interviews and features. The WTFC kitchen will be open selling pies, chips ensuring fans don’t go hungry at the big game. The bar will be open long before and after the game.

This is a fantastic fixture to start our campaign in League One after an amazing season that saw us go unbeaten with an 100% record and winning the quadruple,

This game came after our county cup win that was played at there stadium they were so impressed with the respect, behaviour and quality of our players.

It is a fantastic honour that a club like Oldham thanked us and complimented our club and then to put the icing on the cake they are visiting Ericstan park for what will be a very exciting day for our club.

When a club like Oldham take the time to say thank you and then arrange a friendly you carnt help but feel proud of what we are achieving.
