Poynton to play Whaley in the final...

Cup Update

J B Parker Premier Division Challenge Cup
The semi-finals took place in the Premier Division Challenge Cup this week as Poynton took on Rudheath Social and Whaley Bridge took on Congleton Vale.

Poynton were impressive in their 4-1 victory at home as they took Rudheath by storm in the second half. The game in SK12 appeared reasonably even at half time as the sides went in level with one goal apiece. However, Poynton came out strongest in the final 45 as they picked up three goals to move into the final.
Whaley Bridge move into the final as they beat Congleton Vale at Horwich Park. Two first half goals from MOTM Tom Scorer move the defending champions into a final against local rivals Poynton.

The final will take place at Trafford FC in April. More details will be available on social media closer to the final date.
