Jimmy Bush appointment made permanent

Bush takes the reigns

Jimmy Bush was appointed as interim manager in January 2015 when Steve Lloyd stepped down after five successful years in charge,

His first game in charge was a friendly against Runcorn Town in February at Irlam FC and despite a 2-1 defeat it was a positive start to the role.

The league tried to arrange several games but the weather caused no end of problems and Jimmy's first competitive game was not until May in the JA Walton Cup versus the Lancashire Amateur League. The Cheshire League won this game 2-0 with a solid performance that saw us progress to the semi-final.

Next game the National Cup match v West Riding County Amateur League, which also saw a victory as the side won 4-2 at Knutsford in September.

This was followed up with a semi-final victory over Lancs & Cheshire at West Didsbury & Chorlton as a 1-0 win evidenced that the team was starting to gel.

The management committee met in October and made the decision to make Jimmy's appointment permanent due to his successful start. Along with Jimmy, Phil Harrison has been appointed as assistant manager and we wish the pair of them the best of luck in the role.
